THE WAX SERVICE

We use honey-based soft or what is often called strip wax for our full body wax services. Studio founder and Skintician, Chandra Davis, believes soft wax offers a more efficient, speedy, and accurate wax.

No, we do NOT accept wax type requests, so please don’t ask. Every Esthetician is trained to perform the waxing service with soft wax. Hard wax is used ONLY if the Esthetician finds it necessary based on your hair type and length but ultimately it’s at their discretion.

Since you insist, we suggest you make an appointment with one of our many competitors to complete your wax service. We want you to be happy with your service but we don’t want to force you into anything you don’t like or want. We wish you the best of luck at your next wax studio!

Ew, gross! And to answer your question, “HELL NO!”

We have strict protocols in place to prevent wax contamination and each Esthetician trained to strictly enforce these rules. See our “NO DOUBLE-DIP POLICY” here.

Our BRAZILIAN + WAX service includes the bikini line, front pelvic region, outer labia, and the inner buttocks, namely the anus.

FRONT

BACK

We certainly do! However, we do NOT offer any waxing of the nether regions for men. So fellas we are going to have to ask you to keep your pants on. Thanks!

We do NOT offer waxing services to anyone under the age of 18 without parental consent. The youngest age we will accept is thirteen (13) with parental consent AND presence, anyone younger than that will not be serviced.

THE WAX EXPERIENCE

Look friend, it’s no walk in the park.

Regardless of the wax used, whether it be soft wax, hard wax, sugar wax, or duct tape pulling hair from your body, it does NOT feel good. The pain level varies for each client but we can say that with regular wax maintenance your pain tolerance will increase and it won’t feel as intense as your first time waxing experience.

Nope!

And quite honestly, it’s not as effective you might think. In order for the numbing creme to “work” it needs to reach the nerves inside your skin which lay deep within the dermis. Topical numbing cremes will only be absorbed by the skin before its active contents will ever reach the nerve endings rendering the balm useless. So it’s pretty pointless to use for a wax service.

Well…yes and no.

If you’ve shaved recently, you can still get waxed but we ask that you allow your hair to grow for at least three (3) to four (4) weeks before coming in for a wax service. Your hairs need to be at least the length of a long grain of rice to get a good wax service worth both your time and money. If your hair is too short, the wax won’t properly adhere to it and we won’t be able to fully remove the hair from the follicle, leaving behind stubble. It’s best to err on the side of caution and just wait.

NO!

Please do NOT trim your hair before service as you run the risk of cutting the hair too short making the wax service difficult to perform and more painful for you. Just come as you are friend, we will take care of the rest!

Most “breakouts” that occur after waxing is just a histamine reaction. It’s simply your skin and body’s way of responding to the trauma of being waxed. We will always neutralize any bacterial activity on the recently waxed area with high frequency to prevent any flareups, but we recommend that you avoid wearing tight-fitting clothing after a wax and keep the area clean and dry after service. The reaction will subside after a day or so. So hands off!

Absolutely, babydoll!

Just know that you may be a bit more sensitive due to the increased hormonal activity which may make waxing more painful. If you still insist on waxing while on your period just wear a tampon during the service, and we will take care of the rest!

Of course, you can! Each Esthetician has been trained to wax clients while pregnant however, we will ALWAYS suggest you get clearance from your doctor PRIOR to making your reservation.

Oh, and congratulations!

Sure you can!

As long as the shape is in the form of a rectangle or triangle, that’s about as creative as we can get.

WAX AFTERCARE

Good question, both activities are VERY important! You can have sex or exercise after waxing but we always encourage our clients to wait at least 24-72 hours after waxing depending on their skin sensitivity.

Everyone is different but you should always exercise caution when it comes to after wax activities.

We always tell clients not to perform any at-home hair removal procedures in between waxing and to exfoliate regularly 1 – 2 times a week to prevent ingrown hair bumps.

Sorry about that fam’!

If you still feel sticky after your wax service, you can either shower with a non-scented or non-fragrant soap OR apply a non-scented oil to the area to remove the tacky feeling.

For Brazilian + WAX and other common wax services, you should come in every four (4) to six (6) weeks.

For Brow WAX services, you should come in every two (2) to three (3) weeks.
